What is an IMEI and where can I find mine?

January 12th, 2010 5 comments

What is an IMEI?

The IMEI – International Mobile Equipment Identity – is 15 digit number given to every single mobile phone.
We need the IMEI to generate the registration code for our applications, because all of our products are licensed per phone.

Where can I find my IMEI?

To retrieve the IMEI of your phone, just dial the number: *#06#
The IMEI is also printed on a label under the battery and sometimes you can find it on the packaging as well.
To check your IMEI, you can use the service of International Numbering Plans.

What if I accidentally used an invalid IMEI when purchasing your products?

No problem! Just send the correct IMEI along with your order details to support@mumcode.com and everything will be fine.

TIP1:

There are a few hundreds SMS,MMS,Email,Bluetooth msg with photos archived,   you might want to single out those sensitive messages and protect them…

Do not have to hide the sensitive message one by one in each folder  manually.  If you choose the menu item  ‘Option–Folder — Apply profile to folder’ in MumSMS,  the software will scan the entire folder,  and will protect every sensitive message according to the actived profile that could be personalized by you own.

TIP2:

Press the * key to hide/show the messages directly , rather than take up menu item select.

auto-startup tip of mumsms

March 18th, 2009 3 comments

MumSMS+ is composed of two parts:  The first one is the user’s interface (UI) which is responsible for responding to user actions, such as browsing, view, reply, configuration management and so on.  The other is a message watcher (Monitor), which is responsible for watching and protection the messages .

The moniter is runing  in the background independent (that means the monitor do not need the UI to keep running), and can start automatically at startup theoretically.

However, because the trial release of MumSMS+ is a package of self-sign, which is not given the full capability, thus monitor has to request the UI to launch it once explicitly after the phone startup.

If you registered,  please  send us your IMEI and the phone’s model to get a signed auto-startup-enabled version by email within 2 working days. (IMEI might be read by press *#06# on the phone’s keypad)
